Shaili Das

Shaili is a sophomore on the pre-health track majoring in Psychology and Biology at Northwestern University. With a passion for public health, Shaili has been inspired by the interdisciplinary work of CORNERS, and is committed to further studying population wellbeing across diverse communities in Chicago. On her journey to CORNERS, Shaili has contributed to molecular biology research at Northwestern, attended an immersive program at the CDC, studied nonviolent leadership through The King Center, and continued her involvement in local community organizations centered around antiracism and civic engagement. On campus, Shaili is part of the leadership for South Asian Students Alliance and is a committee member for Associated Student Government, particularly serving on the Justice and Inclusion Committee. A lifelong resident of the Chicago area, Shaili enjoys playing tennis, exploring new cuisines, challenging her sister in Just Dance, and spending time with family and friends.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
