Micah Kohng

Micah is a junior majoring in International and Public Affairs and Urban Studies at Brown University. This is Micah’s second year working at CORNERS with the GASC project. Before that, he worked for Mikva Challenge as a Summer Fellow and Youth Councilmember. At Brown, he is a community engagement co-lead for Students for Educational Equity and a member of Gendo Taiko, a contemporary drumming ensemble. Micah has lived in Chicago his whole life, mostly on the west side, and enjoys sketching, jewelrymaking, and climbing mountains.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
