Kate Ryan

Kate is a senior at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Last year, Kate worked as an intern and tutor at Forging Opportunities for Refugees in America (FORA), helping to organize the educational programming and directly teaching reading, writing, math, as well as public speaking to students. In her spare time, Kate enjoys cooking, learning languages, and playing volleyball.

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
