Kevin Barry

Kevin M. Barry is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at Northwestern University advised by Dr. Andrew Papachristos. Kevin's research focuses on the experiences of young people who participate in programs that aim to reduce gun violence in the city of Chicago. He has a MS in School Psychology from Tulane University and a BS in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Kevin is also an Army veteran who served as an Infantry Officer.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
