Georgia Tankard

Georgia Tankard is a Research Project Coordinator at CORNERS: the Center for Neighborhood Engaged Research & Science. She is passionate about infusing a trauma-informed lens into policy research and direct service work. She previously worked at Northwestern’s Bluhm Legal Clinic supporting asylum and clemency cases with the Immigration Clinic and the Center on Wrongful Convictions. She holds a BA in Sociology and Spanish Literature from Occidental College and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy & Public Administration at Northwestern University. In her free time, Georgia loves traveling, illustrating and exploring vintage shops.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
