Nathan Friesen

 Nathan Friesen

Nathan is a Senior at Northwestern University studying Journalism and Legal Studies. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, he is interested in community violence intervention work, and hopes to work in the CVI world after college. He has previously worked with Chicago CRED, creating documentary-style videos of their participants and stepping in as a education tutor. He is also a current intern at The Insititute for Non Violence Chicago working with their communications and development team. Nathan volunteers to coach children's baseball in Evanston and enjoys being outside, reading, and playing club baseball at Northwestern in his free time.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
