Jess Robinson

Jess Robinson is Research Data Analyst Associate at Corners: the Center for Neighborhood Engaged Research & Science interested in politics, law, and mechanisms of social control. Jess received her BA from the University of Chicago in Sociology and Political Science with a minor in Philosophy, where she completed a thesis on correlates of US state-level probation patterns and their relation to the expanding carceral system. She has previously worked in youth defense and advocacy and on Chicago-based sociological research. In her free time, Jess also enjoys theatre, both making and seeing it.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
