Chelsie Coren

Chelsie Coren is a Research Project Coordinator at Corners: the Center for Neighborhood Engaged Research & Science. She received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She previously worked at Northern Illinois Food Bank, where she managed food access programs for seniors and chronic disease patients in the suburbs. In her free time, Chelsie enjoys cooking, eating, and feeding others.

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
