Tashee Poplous

Associate Director, Violence Prevention, Breakthrough Urban Ministries

Tashee Poplous

Tashee Poplous is the Associate Director of Victim Service and Case Management for Breakthrough Urban Ministries. She started this position because she was determined to leave corporate America to make a difference and increase hope in our communities. In her position with violence prevention, her team has a vision of keeping a safe, stable, and engaged community as well as creating opportunities for individuals most at risk of violence. Her driving force is blending prevention strategies into community-based programs, such as crisis intervention, domestic violence, and gender-based violence where staff and community members trained in mental health can build connections and identify and intervene with troubled individuals who are threatening violence. She is committed to helping her community win and thrive and is proud of the improvements she has seen in her time at Breakthrough.
