Cedric Hawkins

Cedric Hawkins is a Roseland/West Pullman native and dedicated violence prevention professional. He is currently an Outreach Supervisor at CRED South. He began his career in the CVI field as a FLIP Peacekeeper in Roseland in 2019. Since then, he has been promoted to Outreach Worker, Supervisor and now has been promoted to the Manager of Strategic Initiatives for the South Side at Chicago CRED. Thanks to the FLIP Strategy, Cedric has become a proactive advocate in the violence prevention field.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
